Education. In 2000, 30 percent of Claiborne and Jackson residents aged 25 or older did not graduate from high school in 2000. This percentage is five points higher than the state average of 25 percent, and 10 points higher than the national average of 30 percent.

Bachelor's Degree. 12 percent of Claiborne and Jackson Parish residents aged 25 or higher held a bachelor's degree in 2000, half of the nationwide percentage of 24 percent.
